Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a Watershed Construction Maintenance Worker I to support the wastewater collection and water distribution systems. The role requires operating heavy equipment like dump trucks, backhoes, and skid loaders, working in a crew, and following standard procedures.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with no prior experience required; 6 months of construction/maintenance experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders efficiently and safely with the supervisor.
• Perform skilled construction and maintenance work for water/wastewater systems and building maintenance.
• Operate power and hand tools and light–heavy construction equipment.
• Assist in prioritizing and completing work orders and coordinating with crew supervisors.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; set up safety cones and protect the public.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and input job locations into GPS.
