Job summary

Qualified applicants will have at least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of training, and must hold a valid driver's license and a Grade 1 Distribution System Operator's Certificate.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience assisting in the maintenance and installation of pipelines and appurtenances; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Applicants must possess a valid Distribution System Operator's Certificate, Grade 1 at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the maintenance of a domestic water distribution system; performs minor repairs of mains and pipelines; assists in the maintenance of water tanks and equipment; and performs other duties as required.
