Job summary

D&B Engineers and Architects in New York seeks an experienced Water Supply Civil Engineer to lead municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and manage client relationships with a focus on delivering high-quality water supply solutions.

The role requires strong communication skills and a track record in water treatment system design, with potential NY P.E. licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 10-15 years of project experience, including design and construction of water supply treatment projects.
• Experience managing drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of water supply treatment systems from concept through construction.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, cost estimates, and overall delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Oversee engineering and construction deliverables and perform advanced technical analyses.
• Conduct technical assessments, develop engineering calculations, and prepare reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor technical staff, and develop junior engineers.
• Support business development efforts, manage client relationships for capital improvement programs, and conduct client meetings.
• Serve as the Project Manager on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Field inspection as needed.
