Job summary

Jobot in New York is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our award-winning environmental and civil engineering team. You will design and oversee land development, water and sewer systems, and large infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with zoning and permitting requirements.

The successful candidate has a bachelor’s in civil engineering, 3+ years of civil design experience, and proficiency with Civil 3D and Autoturn; Master’s or PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's or PE preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience with design focus.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Autoturn, and related software.
• Knowledge of local zoning laws and permit processes.
• Experience in preparing SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for civil projects including stormwater, drainage, grading, and utilities.
• Use Civil 3D and Autoturn to create accurate designs.
• Ensure compliance with zoning laws and obtain permits.
• Oversee land development and erosion/sediment control.
• Prepare SWPPP and SEQRA reports.
• Manage water and sewer infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with team and stakeholders to meet timelines and budget.
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and safety.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers.
