Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. is seeking personnel to install, maintain, and repair water distribution, wastewater and street systems in Richardson, TX.

You will operate a range of heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and assist in after-hours standby as needed. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a Texas Class C license, with CDL eligibility (Class A) within six months.

Qualifications

• Must have safety knowledge to work safely with equipment used in utility and street construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance work.
• Experience with pumps, generators, backhoes, dump trucks, jet trucks, service trucks, wrenches, hand and power saws, jackhammers, hammers, grinders, shovels, drain spades, drills, and drill presses is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining focus throughout tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water distribution, wastewater collection, street, drainage, and alley systems.
• Sort tools and materials; perform routine maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Drive trucks to job sites to assist in repairs and maintenance; participate in after-hours standby as needed.
• Read and follow written/oral instructions; write reports by hand; communicate clearly with others.
