Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Operator’s License is required.
• TCEQ Water Condition Technician License or obtain within six months of hire date.
• Knowledge of water softener systems, motors, and pumps.
• Knowledge of water quality testing procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to maintain records using computerized maintenance management system.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair water softener systems.
• Provide assistance to Utility Site Specialist as needed.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist in paperwork for storm water permits.
• Provide monthly reports related to scheduled preventative maintenance, cleaning and sanitization.
• Practice all safety regulations related to the trade and district safety policies.
• Maintain required records for inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Operate district vehicles, tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain licenses and continuing education, as required.
• May be required to work nights or weekends to respond to emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
