City of Portsmouth is seeking a skilled inspector for Public Utilities to supervise and support water and sewer projects. You will inspect tunnels, pump stations, tanks, and mains, and prepare sketches, notes, and drawings for crews and staff.

You will coordinate with contractors and city staff, provide technical oversight, and ensure compliance with city standards. Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices is required, with 1–2 years of related experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and drafting certification, plus 1–2 years in civil engineering or utility construction.
• Familiarity with city codes, regulations, and utility standards.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect utility tunnels, pump stations, and water/sewer facilities for compliance.
• Prepare sketches, construction notes, and drawings for crews and staff.
