Job summary

City of Savannah is seeking a Water & Sewer Superintendent to lead the Water Reclamation team. You will supervise staff, coordinate operations across pumping, treatment, and distribution, and ensure safe, compliant processes with SCADA support.

The role requires an Associate's Degree with 4 years of supervision in water/wastewater, a Class 1 license, and a valid commercial driver’s license. On-site location at Savannah, GA.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with four years of supervised work experience in water/wastewater or equivalent.
• Georgia Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class 1 License required.
• Valid state commercial driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff, including performance appraisals.
• Coordinates and reviews work, schedules, and maintains safety and process standards.
• Oversees treatment plant operations, water quality, and distribution systems.
• Maintains equipment maintenance and procurement; coordinates with contractors.
