Job summary

The candidate will respond to after-hours emergencies, drive city vehicles, and collaborate with staff to maintain safety and efficiency in daily operations. Valid Texas Driver License required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver License.
• Background check and certified transcripts required for employment.
• Drug and alcohol testing is part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintain and repair daily field operations equipment.
• Report all failures to the supervisor.
• Maintain parts inventory and order parts and supplies.
• Carry out the City’s Customer Service Plan.
• Be on-call after hours and weekends; respond to after-hour water line breaks and emergencies.
• Assist in maintaining communication between staff, visitors, and other contacts.
• Drive a City vehicle for City business.
• Follow telephone courtesy rules and perform related duties as required.
