Shelby (NC) seeks a skilled trades helper to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing water and sewer lines and appurtenances, operating related equipment under supervision. The role involves following work orders and ensuring safety and reliability of systems.

You will locate and map lines, test pressure and flow, and support crew operations across sites while coordinating with supervisors and adhering to local regulations.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education.
• Ability to perform demanding manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Experience with water/sewer maintenance and repair is a plus.

Mansioni

• Installs water and sewer infrastructure, taps, meters and services.
• Operates trucks and backhoe for trenching, digging, and backfilling.
• Performs preventative maintenance and tests sewer lines.
• Responds to customer complaints and service calls.
• Draws maps of water/sewer lines using GIS; set up traffic controls.
