Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking two Field Crew Assistants to join the Water Team in Charlotte, NC. This entry‑level role involves working with experienced professionals to collect data and perform inspections that support the evaluation and maintenance of sanitary sewer systems.

You will assist with sewer assessment and rehabilitation projects, flow monitoring, and field investigations while developing practical skills in infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics knowledge is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software is expected.
• Valid driver’s license is required and travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering and field staff with sewer assessment and rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in sanitary sewer inspections through flow monitoring, map reading, and field data collection.
• Support smoke testing, manhole inspections, and other field investigations.
• Help identify sources of inflow and infiltration that can impact sewer system performance.
• Collect, organize, and enter field data to support project reporting and analysis.
• Assist with data management and other project-related tasks as needed.
