Job summary

Paul Davis is hiring an experienced Water Restoration Technician to respond to emergencies, perform inspections, and manage water, fire, and mold restoration projects. You will operate extraction and drying equipment, document progress, and communicate with property owners and adjusters while upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.

The role requires 3+ years in the restoration industry, English fluency, driver’s license, and flexibility to work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in water/fire/mold restoration.
• Texas Mold Remediation license or Mold Remediation Worker registration preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies, including after-hours and weekend on-call rotations, to mitigate water, fire, smoke, and mold damage.
• Perform initial site inspections and damage assessments to identify source, category, and extent of damage.
• Extract standing water using truck-mounted and portable equipment.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment to achieve drying goals.
• Take daily moisture readings and document progress.
• Perform controlled demolition and remove damaged materials.
• Set up containment and apply mold remediation controls per IICRC standards.
• Document all work with photos, moisture maps, notes and software for claims.
• Communicate clearly with owners, adjusters and managers to set expectations.
• Uphold Paul Davis Restoration standards in professionalism and customer service.

Team Qualifications (Requirements):

• MUST have at least 3+ experience within the water/fire/mold restoration industry
• Preferred candidates should have IICRC certifications, or have the relevant experience to quickly obtain IICRC certifications
• Preferred candidates should have Texas Mold Remediation Contractor's license or be a registered Mold Remediation Worker.

• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to lift 75 LBS frequently
• Have the ability to work nights/weekends and overtime, if needed

Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):

• Respond promptly to emergency calls, including after-hours and weekend on-call rotations, to mitigate water, fire, smoke, and mold damage at residential and commercial properties.
• Perform initial site inspections and damage assessments, identifying the source, category, and class of water loss and the extent of fire, smoke, or microbial damage.
• Extract standing water using truck-mounted and/or portable extraction equipment
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, negative air machines) to achieve drying goals efficiently,
• Take and record daily moisture readings using moisture meters, thermo-hygrometers, and thermal imaging cameras, and document drying progress.
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, carpet, pad, insulation, and cabinetry.
• Set up containment barriers and apply proper engineering controls for mold remediation per IICRC S520 standards.
• Document every job thoroughly with photos, moisture maps, notes, and job-tracking software to support insurance claims.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with property owners, adjusters, and project managers, explaining the process and setting expectations.
