SERVPRO of Lafayette is hiring a Restoration Technician to join our emergency response team. You will learn cleaning and drying processes that restore homes and businesses after water, fire, or mold damage, serving residential and commercial customers in the Lafayette area.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. The role requires overtime, night and weekend shifts, and provides opportunities for hands-on training and professional growth within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Self motivated to work hard and learn a trade.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
• You are able to read/write legibly and use mobile software.
• You have reliable 24/7/365 transportation and a valid driver’s license
• You are able to lift 50–100 lbs, work at heights, and work in tight spaces.
• Strong work ethic to hustle and get things done efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Professional experience in restoration, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting is highly desired but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Learning restoration processes.
• Performing cleaning & restoration tasks according to industry standards.
• Communicating with the team and documenting projects at a high level.
• Vehicles, equipment and facility maintenance.
• Contributing to a team culture and a positive work environment.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities; set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Perform demolition and cleaning activities while protecting the customers space and belongings.
• Ensure work vehicles are stocked with all necessary supplies for each project, unloaded and cleaned daily.
• Learn and develop restoration skills to elevate the SERVPRO Brand and grow within the company.

This essential position is going to learn from and work with our restoration team everyday to execute cleaning and drying processes that will help our residential and commercial customers recover from disasters such as water, fire damage and mold.

What key areas will you be responsible for?

What does winning look like?

• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Learn and develop restoration skills to elevate the SERVPRO Brand and grow within the company.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform tasks as expected and meet project timeline goals.
• Perform end‑of‑day/end‑of‑job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance
