Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon is seeking a Crew Member / Restoration Technician to help homeowners and businesses recover from fire, water, or mold damage. You will follow SERVPRO production guidelines, communicate with the Restoration Supervisor, and assist with cleaning, setup, and restoration tasks.

Full-time position with Mon-Fri schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-call rotation, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• IICRC certifications are a plus.
• Experience in cleaning/restoration is a plus.
• Experience with iPad/smartphone devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies for each project.
• Keep a clean and organized vehicle and equipment.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities and set up staging equipment.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production.
• Extract water, set up equipment, clean surfaces and perform demo for restoration projects.
• End-of-day cleanup and breakdown to leave job site in order.
• Follow safety and risk management guidelines and keep the job site clean.

Job Description:

In this position you will be responding to assigned service calls following SERVPRO production guidelines. On a daily basis you will be communicating with the Restoration Supervisor making sure all customer needs are met. Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse, vehicles, equipment, and office areas will be part of your daily routine as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project.
• Keep a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging equipment for each project
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Extract water, set up equipment, clean surfaces and perform demo for restoration projects.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown to leave job site with a clean and orderly appearance
• Understand, follow and perform safety and risk management guidelines along with productions processes. Leave the jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

Who You Are:

• Strong verbal communication skills
• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications are a plus
• Experience in cleaning/restoration is a plus
• Experience working with iPad/smart phone type of device a plus
• Good fit for those with carpet cleaning, construction, lawn care, pest control, and general labor experience
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Physical And Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Exposure to chemicals
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
