Job summary

SERVPRO is seeking a Mitigation Technician to handle water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation tasks across service calls. You will respond to calls, establish efficient job flow, coordinate requirements for each job, complete documentation, and perform production work while upholding safety standards on the jobsite.

Responsibilities include setup of equipment, moisture readings, travel to sites, and teamwork to ensure quality, timely completion, and safety.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED required.
• Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred.
• IICRC certifications and/or previous fire/water/mold property restoration experience preferred.
• DocuSketch experience preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, approved by our insurance company, required.
• Ability to travel locally or out-of-state when necessary.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to jobsites as needed. Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, performing production work and completing job documentation.
• Perform and evaluate mitigation/restoration activities including water extraction, fire damage cleanup, setup of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Load, inventory, and maintain vehicles with tools, equipment, and supplies for each project.
• Prepare rooms and areas for work activities; setup staging areas and equipment for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, jobsite findings, and equipment/tool requirements to supervisors.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Work as a team to provide quality and efficient work and perform production processes as directed.
• Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite clean and orderly.
