Job summary

AKRF, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer in the Water Resources group based in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves contributing to a broad range of municipal and private sector projects and working in a collaborative environment.

The candidate will support design, reporting, and field activities, with emphasis on AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS integration. A Bachelor's degree and 1–4 years of experience are required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • 1–4 years of professional civil/environmental experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in the US.
  • Experience with municipal codes, PennDOT/PADEP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support major engineering design projects including site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and related disciplines.
  • Prepare site/civil drawings, specifications, and reports for projects.
  • Prepare permit packages and municipal land development applications.
  • Fieldwork including erosion control monitoring, soil infiltration testing, and site observation reports.
  • Assist project management and coordinate with clients and design consultants.
