Job summary

AKRF, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to support green stormwater infrastructure projects. You will assist in planning, designing, and documenting water resources work and help with field data collection and permits in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s in civil/environmental engineering and offers an opportunity to grow with a leading multidisciplinary firm in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Biological Engineering, or related field.
  • 0–1 year of experience (entry level).
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and civil design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing water resources projects with a focus on green stormwater management.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for GSI projects.
  • Conduct site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and field data collection.
  • Support the permitting process by preparing reports and documentation compliant with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to support GSI projects and climate resiliency planning.
