Job summary

Jobtailor in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced stormwater engineer to manage H&H analysis, develop models, and mentor project teams.

You will prepare schedules, interface with clients, monitor budgets, and ensure quality control of technical deliverables. Requires 10+ years, PE license, and proficiency with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS Pro, and MS Office. Central Texas familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in stormwater management.
  • Texas PE license held or in process.
  • Proficiency with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (steady, unsteady flow, 2D).
  • Experience with FEMA flood studies, LOMRs, CLOMRs.
  • Experience in Central Texas and familiarity with local criteria.

Job description

Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in stormwater management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (steady, unsteady flow, and 2D), ArcGIS Pro, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Experience in Central Texas and familiarity with local criteria
  • Experience preparing design plans, technical specifications, and opinions of probable construction costs for stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Experience with permitting
  • Experience developing FEMA flood studies, LOMRs, and CLOMRs
  • CFM certification and/or experience in floodplain management practices preferred
