Job summary

PEC is seeking a Project Manager in Kansas City, MO to manage scope, schedule, and cost for client contracts. You will coordinate with internal and external teams, develop budgets, and lead project delivery from pre-contract through execution while ensuring quality and on-time performance.

The role requires engineering discipline experience, leadership, and strong communication. Office-based, with a focus on collaborative project management and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from ABET Accredited University.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a discipline/task lead required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Project Management or related experience/field required.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Engineering Design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project scope, cost, and schedule for planning, execution, and delivery.
• Coordinate and communicate with client and project stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Prepare proposed contracts and sub-consultant contracts as appropriate.
• Assemble project team with supervisor approval and manage resources.
• Provide regular project updates and ensure quality control processes are followed.
• Identify risks and communicate risk management strategies.
• Develop fee proposals and project budgets; oversee adherence to budgets.
