Job summary

Haley Ward seeks a Water Resources Project Engineer in Portland, ME to plan, organize and control project activities within PM guidelines and QA/QC. The role focuses on municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure projects with team collaboration from planning through implementation.

You'll design hydraulic systems, pump stations, and SCADA integrations while ensuring compliance and quality. Mentorship and innovation are encouraged in a supportive, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT on track to PE with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team toward preparation of plans and specs.
• Conducts engineering computations for complex projects.
• Communicates with regulatory staff and represents clients at hearings.
• Monitors budget, schedule, QA/QC, and reports progress to PM.
• Lead hydraulic design projects for municipal water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Engineer pump stations from concept to commissioning, including controls.
• Advise field engineers, contractors and inspectors during construction.
• Collaborate with PM on project strategy and scope.
• Prepare proposals with scope, schedule, and manpower estimates.
• Promote new business for the company and area of expertise.
• Design and integrate SCADA for monitoring and operation.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive sustainable design.
