Haley Ward is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer in Saco, ME. You will plan, organize, and control project activities within budgets and QA/QC constraints, focusing on municipal water, sewer, and stormwater projects.

You will join a collaborative team driving high-quality design from planning through implementation, with opportunities to mentor others and advance sustainable design approaches, while supporting client relationships and business growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT on track to PE with 5+ years related experience.
• Minimum 3 years design experience with water/wastewater systems.
• SCADA systems interest - design, programming, or integration of control systems.
• Pump station design expertise from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support project team to produce economical, effective plans and specs.
• Perform engineering computations for complex projects.
• Communicate with regulatory staff and represent clients in hearings/meetings.
• Lead QA/QC of budgets, schedules, and plans; report status to PM.
• Monitor compliance with codes, practices, and performance standards.
• Design concept development for plans and specs.
• Lead hydraulic design for municipal water distribution and treatment.
• Engineer pump stations including electrical controls and automation.
• Consult with field engineers, contractors, inspectors during construction.
• Communicate project strategy with PM and management.
• Assist in preparing proposals with scope, schedule, and manning estimates.
• Promote new business for the company and area of expertise.
• Design and integrate SCADA for water/wastewater systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive sustainable design innovation.
