Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 4–10 years of experience to support our Water Resources Group. You will perform analysis and design as a Project Engineer on municipal water resources projects and assist other divisions as needed.

Responsibilities include project engineering and task management, mentoring junior staff, stormwater modeling, floodplain studies, hydrologic analyses, and preparing plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Hydrology/Hydraulics preferred
• 4-10 years of progressively responsible water resources experience
• Arizona Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and task management on water resources design projects.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff for hydraulic tasks.
• Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Perform sediment transport and scour analyses to support projects.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and presentations.
• Prepare engineering plans for detention facilities, storm drains, and other hydraulic structures.
• Work independently and with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposals.
