Job summary

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in water resources engineering including stormwater drainage and floodplain analysis.
• Licensed Professional Engineer required, with ability to obtain licensure in state of practice within six months if not already licensed.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, or related design platforms desirable.
• Experience with drainage and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM, EPA SWMM, SRH-2D, FLO-2D, InfoWorks ICM, HY-8, FlowMaster, StormCAD, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, permitting, and construction-phase services for water resources projects (stormwater drainage, flood control, detention facilities).
• Lead project delivery from concept through completion including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and CADD staff.
• Coordinate with agencies, municipalities, regulators, contractors, and clients to support project execution.
• Support business development including client visits, proposals, scope development, and fee estimates.
