Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Assistant to support project managers within the Water Resources sector in California. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in the AEC industry and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

You will assist with drafting letters, updating lists, tracking billing, and coordinating documentation across multiple sites. Responsibilities include supporting contract and submittal processes, managing RFIs, and helping prepare reports while

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a Project Assistant or Coordinator in the AEC industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager in preparation of draft letters and emails for project-related correspondence.
• Update and maintain electronic lists and tracking documents.
• Track project billing and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Open project numbers for proposals and contracts; set up project folders.
• Monitor outstanding issues and coordinate with project team to resolve.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate with accounting on accounts receivable and collections metrics.
• Prepare basic reports and assist on special projects as needed.
