Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join the Water / Wastewater team in Chicago, IL for Summer 2027. You will support project evaluation, planning and design, conduct fieldwork, assist with asset management and reports, and develop technical skills with Power BI, SQL Server, and SharePoint.

You will collaborate with experienced professionals, learn to use AutoCAD/ArcGIS/Revit, and contribute to sustainable water solutions while growing in a global design and consultancy

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
Preferred: prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm.
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

Assist in project evaluation, planning and design activities for water/wastewater projects.
Support fieldwork tasks such as site visits, sampling, and water quality analyses.
Aid asset management projects and data analytics; contribute to reports and client presentations.
Work with SQL server, cloud computing, dashboards, Power BI and SharePoint.
Collaborate with engineers and scientists across locations while ensuring safety standards.
