Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. invites a motivated student to join our Water Resources Internship for Summer 2027. You will work a 40-hour week for at least 10 weeks, gaining hands-on experience with stormwater modeling, drainage design, and flood studies.

You will be mentored by project engineers and managers across multiple states, performing field investigations, data collection, and preparation of drawings and technical reports in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; no previous experience required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with stormwater modeling, drainage design and flood studies.
• Support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, watershed evaluations and FEMA documentation.
• Help prepare construction drawings, design computations and technical reports.
• Conduct background research, field investigations and data collection.
• Work under supervision of project engineers and managers on states-wide projects.
