AKRF in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Water Resources Intern to join our 2027 summer program in the Philadelphia office. You will assist with planning, designing, and developing water resources projects focused on green stormwater management, and support GSI projects and climate resilience initiatives.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s or graduate degree, strong communication, attention to detail, initiative, dependability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

  • An accredited STEM bachelor’s degree program or STEM graduate program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
  • Dependability and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing water resources projects with a focus on green stormwater management.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for GSI projects.
  • Conduct site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and field data collection.
  • Support the permitting process by preparing reports and documentation compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
