Water Resources Intern

About the Role

The Water Resources department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Intern to participate in our 2027 summer internship program. This position will be in our Philadelphia, PA office. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, oversee high-profile projects, contribute to the team's growth and development, support GSI projects and climate resiliency and adaptation project planning and design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing water resources projects with a focus on green stormwater management.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for GSI projects.
  • Conduct site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and field data collection.
  • Support the permitting process by preparing reports and documentation compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • An accredited STEM bachelor’s degree program or STEM graduate program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly
  • Dependability and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks

Compensation

Compensation to be commiserate with experience.
