Job summary

AKRF invites applications for a Water Resources Intern in Pittsburgh, PA, to join our 2027 summer internship program. This role supports the Water Resources department in planning, design, and field work for green stormwater projects, and assists with permitting and documentation.

The successful candidate will contribute to site assessments, data collection, and coordination with project teams while pursuing an accredited STEM degree. This is an on-site internship in our Pittsburgh office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, and developing water resources projects with a focus on green stormwater management.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for GSI projects.
• Conduct site assessments, stormwater BMP inspections, and field data collection.
• Support the permitting process by preparing reports and documentation compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
