Job summary

GEI is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Rancho Cordova, CA office. The role supports the Structural/Geo-Structural practice on water resource facilities, including dams, spillways, outlet works, pump stations, pipelines, canals, water storage facilities, and groundwater recharge projects.

You will assist with structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel, prepare drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and reports, and collaborate with senior staff on

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; 0–3 years of structural engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in team.
• Proficient with MS Office; willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of hydraulic structures under supervision.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support planning, design, and construction management activities.
• Collaborate with senior staff and CAD team.
