Job summary

American Water is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multiple capital projects in water resources design, bidding, and construction management. The role supervises engineers, technicians, and inspectors and collaborates with vendors and contractors to meet scope, budget, and quality standards.

The position is hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote, and offers a base salary in the range of $61,050 to $102,030 per year plus annual incentive pay and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in water resources design and project management.
• Engineer-in training (EIT) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small to medium projects in planning, design, bidding and construction.
• Provide technical supervision of engineers, technicians, CAD operators and inspectors.
• Develop budgets and ensure scope, quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering firms, vendors and contractors to meet project goals.
• Prepare technical, bidding and contractual documents for capital projects.
