A Snapshot of the Experience You May Gain
- Assist in design and construction of water resources-related projects.
- Develop skills in report preparation, design, construction, and client management while supporting water resources-related projects.
- Perform site reports on water resources-related engineering projects.
- Anticipated Starting Salary:$21-$23per hourDOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, etc.) Position will remain posted until filled
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a civil engineering, environmental engineering,or related degree program.
- An academic focus/emphasisin water resources.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D a plus.
- Previous coursework or experience in water resources-related projects.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and adapt to changes with ease.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
