Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern for our Atlanta, GA office. You will assist in CAD drawings, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and preparation of technical documents for transportation and drainage projects.

The role requires 60 hours toward a civil/environmental engineering degree (ABET-accredited). Basic data entry, math skills, and willingness to learn are essential; MicroStation experience is preferred.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office.

Your Role
  • Assist with the development and updating of engineering drawings and layouts using CAD software to support transportation and drainage design projects.
  • Assist with performing hydrologic, hydraulic, and other engineering calculations using established procedures and software tools.
  • Assist with preparation of technical memoranda, reports, quantity calculations, and supporting project documentation.
  • Assist in the production and quality control review of construction plans, specifications, and other deliverables for client submittals.
About You
  • EXPERIENCE: No experience is required if accepted into an Associate'S or Bachelor's degree program in a Civil or Environmental Engineering field.
  • EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of Summer 2027.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Experience with MicroStation (preferred).

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
