Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Water Resources group in the Dallas office. The candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (sophomore or junior preferred) with a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required, and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. Responsibilities include performing routine calculations under a senior engineer, obtaining municipal drawings, analyzing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (sophomore or junior preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities for projects.
• Analyze data from continuous flow and rainfall datasets.
• Copy and scan project drawings as needed.
• Assist engineers with development of spreadsheet tools.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers; take direction as needed.
• Coordinate with Planning, Design (structural), and Hydraulic & Hydrology teams.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients; maintain client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
