Job summary

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, seeks a water resource engineer to join our stream and wetland restoration design group in Louisville, KY. You will design and build projects restoring ecosystems, with a focus on 2D hydrodynamic modeling of flood events and field investigations.

You will work with an experienced team on 3D design in Autodesk Civil 3D, site evaluations, and developing permit-ready drawings across diverse environments from urban areas to Appalachian headwaters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/water resources or closely related field.
• Strong technical and quantitative skills in water resources or environmental design, including fluid mechanics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative design of stream and wetland restoration projects.
• Fieldwork to assess sites, monitor post-restoration areas, and oversee construction.
• 3D design in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Flood vulnerability assessment using 2D hydrodynamic models.
• Create concept level, permit-ready and constructible drawings.
• Develop high-resolution topographic datasets.
• Contribute to proposals, mitigation plans, reports and presentations.
