Job summary

Your Talent Team in West Virginia seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex public water and wastewater projects from concept through construction, advising municipalities and agencies.

You will oversee engineering teams, manage schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, and drive business development within the water resources division.

Applicants should hold a Civil Engineer degree and a PE license, with WV project experience and strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license required.
  • Experience with public water and sewer infrastructure projects in West Virginia.
  • Strong hydraulics and water resources background.

Responsibilities

  • Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
  • Oversee project teams preparing engineering plans and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership for civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, funding agencies, and regulatory organizations.
  • Coordinate environmental studies, permitting efforts, and technical deliverables.
  • Attend and present at public meetings and stakeholder events.
  • Support construction administration activities including RFIs and change orders.
  • Identify future project opportunities and support business development efforts.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineering staff.

Position Overview

This is an opportunity to lead complex public water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning


through construction while serving as a trusted advisor to municipalities, regulatory agencies, and project


stakeholders.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • Experience with public water and sewer infrastructure projects in West Virginia

  • Strong background in hydraulics, water resources, and water/wastewater treatment

  • Proven leadership and project management abilities

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently

  • Passion for delivering quality work and taking ownership of projects
