Job description

Our Client is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a rich resume of project success all throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

We are looking for a Water Resources Engineer to work in a Project Manager capacity in our Charleston, WV office location. Our Engineers have the opportunity to design projects in cities and municipalities where our designs make an impact.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing service area utility assets and develop corresponding recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement.
  • Provide support in the design of the rehabilitation and/or replacement of water lines and sanitary sewer lines.
  • Monitor performance and adherence to plans and specifications during the construction phase. Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders.
  • Coordinate and assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternative analyses, and other technical deliverables.
  • Identify future projects/opportunities, services, and client needs.
  • Ensure project communication between team members and clients.
  • Make formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public and regulatory agencies.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows and technical conferences for business development purposes.
  • Build client relationships through project delivery.
  • Incorporate engineering considerations into water and wastewater system designs, including pump selection, valve sizing, and mechanical equipment layout.
  • Support troubleshooting and performance evaluation of mechanical systems during construction and commissioning phases.
Qualifications
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer Certification, or the ability to obtain, is highly desired.
  • Minimum of five years of experience.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Periodic travel will be required.
