Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to support planning, design, and management of water conveyance infrastructure and capital improvement projects. You will manage projects from planning through construction, prepare calculations, designs, budgets, and bid packages, and oversee consultants and staff while coordinating with government agencies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering, project management, and construction management; water resources experience preferred.
  • California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Strong knowledge of water conveyance, hydraulics, surveying, design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage water resources engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, designs, specifications, budgets, and bid packages.
  • Oversee consultants, contractors, permitting, construction, and project schedules.
  • Support water quality programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, developers, growers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support GIS, SCADA, EDMS, and water data management system initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management, the Board, and regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise and coordinate engineering staff and consultants as needed.
