Job summary

WSB is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team in Austin. This full-time role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects across the United States, focusing on hydraulic design, water resources planning, and modeling for both public and private clients.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or hydrology background with 4–8 years of experience and proficiency in HydroCAD, SWMM, HECRAS, P8, GIS, Bentley, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 4-8 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Experience using water resources modeling programs such as HydroCAD, SWMM, HECRAS, P8 as well as GIS, Bentley, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a wide range of projects for public and private clients.
• Perform hydraulic design for highways and County State Aid roadway projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Design BMPs to meet permitting standards.
• Lead business development activities and client engagements for drainage and water resources projects.
• Plan, track, and coordinate project activities to grow technical skills.
• Apply cutting-edge technology in designs and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
