Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking entry level and early career engineers to join our Water Market as Engineer-In-Training 1, Civil Water Resources. You will assist with data analysis, prepare designs, and run hydraulic models under senior engineers.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in a relevant engineering field and may have an EIT or be eligible within six months. Strong communication, teamwork, and writing skills are essential, with a path to professional growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with emphasis in water/wastewater or water resources.
• Must possess state EIT certification (Fundamentals of Engineering) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in-person and virtually, and coordinate engineering solutions in a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks such as collection and analysis of data.
• Prepare calculations and designs of treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities.
• Check design computations and quantity estimates.
• Use computer models to simulate real world conditions and conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Develop process and hydraulic calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and other design tools.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to support project managers with plans and specs.
• Support asset management and master planning under guidance of senior engineers.
