Job summary

Stanley Consultants in the United States is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, or Muscatine, IA team. You will lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks, mentor staff, and deliver projects on time and within budget in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.

An eight‑plus year track record, a PE license, and experience with HEC‑RAS, PCSWMM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant experience.
Licensed Professional (PE) Engineer.
Varied software experience including 1‑D and 2‑D hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, HydroCAD or other modeling software.
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Excellent team leadership skills.
Open to active participation in professional organizations.
Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley Microstation.
Experience in site grading design, surface runoff management, detention design, conveyance.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks.
Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD disciplines.
Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Mentor staff and lead teams on projects.
Participate in professional organizations and present market-specific papers.
