Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to join the Transportation & Water Resources group with offices in Newark, DE, Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, or Pittsburgh, PA. The role begins by May 2027 and focuses on developing design and analytic skills under supervision.

The position involves data collection and analysis, basic engineering design, and software-assisted problem solving, with relocation not available and the expectation to work in a collaborative, project-driven

Qualifications

BA/BS in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or ability to take in the next 6 months.
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other civil engineering-related software (Civil 3D, OpenRoads, HydroCad, HecRas).

Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
