Job summary

AECOM is seeking a creative and highly talented Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to join our Transportation & Water Resources group in Newark, DE, Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, or Pittsburgh, PA offices.

This position is expected to begin by May 2027 and focuses on building analytic and design skills while working under the guidance of experienced engineers on civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• FE Exam passed or intent to take within 6 months is preferred.
• Experience with civil-engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, HydroCad, HEC-RAS).
• Previous internship or work with engineering firms, contractors, or DOTs in highway or transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills under supervision.
• Conducts engineering design under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and final drawings under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision.
• Uses computer software to solve basic engineering problems.
• Works within budget and schedule under supervision.
