Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to join the Transportation & Water Resources group located in AECOM’s Newark, DE, Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, or Pittsburgh, PA offices. This position is expected to begin by May 2027.

Builds analytic and design skills under supervision, performing data collection and analysis, and creating designs and drawings with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
• FE Exam passed or ability to take within 6 months.
• Experience with civil engineering software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, HydroCad, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills under supervision.
• Conduits engineering design under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work within budget and schedule under supervision.
