Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to join the Transportation & Water Resources group in Newark, DE; Philadelphia, PA; Conshohocken, PA; or Pittsburgh, PA. The position is expected to begin by May 2027.

You will build analytic and design skills, conduct engineering design under supervision, and prepare drawings, calculations, and data analyses using standard software. The role supports budgeted schedules and provides growth in infrastructure consulting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Very Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or ability to take in the next 6 months.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other civil engineering software (Civil 3D, OpenRoads, HydroCad, HecRas).
• Previous work experience or internship with engineering firms, contractors, or DOTs involved in highway design, construction, management, or other transportation-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
