The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, fieldwork, and permit coordination. A 4-year Civil Engineering degree and ability to travel in the Chicago area are required; AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and SWMM knowledge are materials we value.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering with water resources emphasis.
• Solid understanding of hydrology and hydraulics.
• Ability to travel within the Chicago area.
• Strong verbal, writing, and computers skills.
• Experience with municipal drainage or stormwater projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for storm sewer and sanitary systems.
• Assist with drainage studies and master plans.
• Design municipal stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, basins).
• Prepare plans and specifications for construction.
• Coordinate field work and permit reviews with authorities.
• Support with transportation, hydraulic structures, and site design.
• Assist in project documentation and client communication.
