Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an entry level engineer to join their Water Resources team in Minneapolis, MN; St. Paul, MN; or Madison, WI. You will work with project engineers applying design, engineering, and modeling tools on water resource projects for federal, state, local clients and private industry.

Responsibilities include roadway drainage design, site design with BMPs, stormwater systems, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and contributing to environmental documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis
• EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling apps (SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD), Microstation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD a plus

Responsibilities

• Roadway drainage layout and design, BMP design
• Site design with BMPs, modeling, and LID practices
• Design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable systems
• Surface water management planning, feasibility studies, and assessments
• Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling
• Hydraulic analysis for bridges, culverts, channels, and revetments
• Bioengineering design for surface water conveyance and wetland restoration
• Design erosion control and sediment management BMPs
• Wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting
• Develop water resources components of environmental documents (EA, EAW, EIS)
