Job summary

DOWL is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Surface Water Group in Montana (Billings, Bozeman, Helena offices). You will contribute to drainage design, river engineering, floodplain studies, and dam/irrigation infrastructure projects.

Applicants should have a civil engineering background with hydrology/hydraulics knowledge; EIT is preferred. The role offers growth in a multidisciplinary team with modern tools and field opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Master’s degree in related hydraulics preferred.
• Solid fundamentals in hydrology and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, analysis, and design of water resources projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and figures.
• Support field investigations and construction observation.
• Collaborate with project team and communicate findings.
