Job summary

STV is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineering Specialist to join our South Carolina team. You will support drainage improvements, stormwater management, and hydrologic/hydraulic analyses for SCDOT and municipal projects, working with project managers under licensed engineers.

This hybrid role is based in STV's Columbia or North Charleston offices, offering hands-on design experience, field exposure, and professional development as you help deliver transportation projects across the

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Foundational stormwater drainage, hydrology, hydraulics knowledge.
Ability to perform technical calculations and documentation.
Willingness to travel ~15% regionally.
EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with drainage and stormwater design for roadways, bridges, and municipal infrastructure.
Develop drainage plans and profiles using MicroStation and ORD.
Support hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and reports.
Assist with stormwater permitting documentation and NPDES compliance.
Prepare quantities, specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate drainage designs with related disciplines and meetings.
Perform design checks and respond to reviews to meet schedules.
Participate in field visits and data collection as needed.
