EnSafe is seeking a Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer in Houston, TX to work on diverse public and private sector projects. The role emphasizes technical analysis, modeling, and collaborative delivery across project teams.

You will develop and review hydrology models, prepare reports, and coordinate with regulatory agencies while supporting project planning and client communications. This role offers growth in a dynamic consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or licensure planned within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 3–5 years of hydrology, hydraulics, water resources engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D).
  • Experience with floodplain analysis, stormwater design, watershed studies, and related projects.
  • Working knowledge of GIS and water resources modeling tools.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and client-ready deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; team-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage hydrology and hydraulics projects from planning through completion for public and private sector clients.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for flood studies and related civil infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and review HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS models and interpret results for engineering recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation to meet standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and other professionals to deliver projects.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination to support delivery.
  • Communicate findings to clients and regulators clearly and concisely.
  • Support permitting efforts and coordination with agencies as required.
  • Contribute to proposal development and client relationship management.
